It was stones trickling from the back of my feet and

Now it's
endless lessons with less and less listening
but increasing incredibility in cradles rocked by savvy master's rant
nauseaus knowledge nowhere to end
not even in struggling Curtis Mayfield on almost used up tape
nor in broken down muffler grinding on new roads heading south
and back and back again
weary vessel only took us halfway
but I've come further than I expected - away from you-
